A vegetarian diet can meet the nutrition needs of even the most active athlete even though they tend to have fewer calories per bite than a traditional meat diet. Plant sources of protein aren't quite as digestible as animal sources and iron isn't as easily absorbed but beans, lentils, soy products, tofu & protein powders can be added to help supplement a vegetairian diet.

When it comes to eating healthy foods, some people seem to subscribe to the notion that 'if some is good, more is better'.
The foods that make up a healthy diet -- fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, whole grains and lowfat dairy products -- do have a lot fewer calories per bite than foods that are full of fat and sugar. They're also more satisfying; proteins keep hunger at bay, fiber and water help to fill us up

Do you drink enough water? How do you keep track of how much you're drinking? Determine how much water you want to drink each day, and put that amount in a large pitcher on your kitchen counter or keep it at desk so you can sip on it as the day goes by. If you want to, you could even add a few berries or a slice of lime to put some oomph in your drink.
